MEETINGS:
The second Wednesday of each month
at 6:00 p.m. at the
American Legion - 77 Bell Street, Bellville, Ohio
October - May we meet inside the Building.
June - August we meet at the Pavilion and weather permitting we fish.
In September, we often meet at different places to go fishing or for demonstrations.
Hello Anglers:
Cooler waters and some rain should help the fishing along the Upper Clear Fork River. Signs of browns are beginning to emerge!! Thanks to all the instructors for your in-water training and bug identification.
Just a note from Peter Rogers:
A major construction project is pumping 12,000 gal/min of ground water into our river near the intersection of SR97 and Bellville-Johnsville Rd. They are lowering the groundwater to enable construction crews to install an underground sanitary sewer lift station to help "move things along" to the water treatment plant downstream between Bellville and Butler. They are being very careful not to disturb the river and are pumping clear, cold water into the stream. We fished a little downstream today and saw very little impact on the water. During the construction of the lift station, Bellville-Johnsville Road at SR97 will be closed to traffic.
We have five more events (three meetings, a river cleanup, and a fly-tying class) through December. All members who have accumulated 8 events for the year ending December 31 are eligible for the fly-rod-reel-line drawing in January.
